Why We Built Auri

"Money makes the world go round" is something I heard my entire life growing up.

But I watched everyone around me struggle to fully grasp how money works and how it flows. My friends, my family, my close relatives. One way or another, none of them understood how personal finance could actually work for them.

My entire life, I received mediocre financial advice from those around me. So I decided to dive deep into the subject.

I got my undergraduate degree in finance. I went on to get my MBA from an Ivy League university. I worked in high finance for several years, and I watched how people used money to their advantage.

They used debt as a tool, not a hindrance. They were comfortable with it. They knew what levers to pull. They knew how to make it work for them.

Once I understood this, I realized how useful it could be. This knowledge could help people if they only had access to it. This should be something everyone knows.

So I started sharing what I learned as a way to help others.

With Auri, we chose not to take investor money, not to seek outside influence, and not to create misaligned incentives just to turn a profit.

If I can help even one person work their way out of debt using a simple tool, that's enough for me.

This is why we built Auri: to help people work their way out of debt and find an easier path to a better life.

Welcome to the community.

We're happy to help, and we hope Auri gives you some financial safety, some psychological safety, and a place to breathe where you don't have to worry about how to allocate your money.

We're glad to have you.

Signing off,

Robert
